Cara Gilbert

BA MClinOT MAHTA — Accredited Hand Therapist

Cara is an accredited hand therapist as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association with over 20 years of experience in treating the upper limb with the last 10 years located at Shoulder2Hand.

Graduating from the University of Queensland in 2001 with a Masters of Occupational Therapy she has also obtained her MSc Hand Therapy from the University of Derby in 2018. Cara has a special interest in wrist replacements and proximal interphalangeal joint injuries and maintains her professional development with regular participation in local, national and international training opportunities. 

Sue Witchalls

B.AppSc (Occ. Therapy) — Accredited Hand Therapist

Sue has over 30 years experience in managing hand and upper limb conditions, the last 10 years located at Shoulder2Hand.  She has worked in a variety of both public and private settings in Australia and England. Prior to joining Shoulder2Hand, Sue was principal therapist at Canberra Hand Clinic.

Sue is a Registered Occupational Therapist (AAOT) and Accredited Hand Therapist, as awarded by the Australian Hand Therapy Association.  She is also a full member of the British Association of Hand Therapy. Sue teaches the Hand/Wrist unit, as part of the Bachelor and Masters Physiotherapy courses at the University of Canberra, and she has presented papers at national conferences. Sue participates in regular professional development activities to maintain her specialist knowledge and skills.
